Datong Quesheng Refined Coal Co., Ltd. was established in 2020 and is  located in Datong Zuoyun Economic Development Zone. The company covers  an area of 500 acres and is a state-owned high-tech enterprise for activated  carbon, wholly owned by Datong Queshan Refined Coal Co., Ltd. The company  has a total investment of 1.18 billion yuan and a registered capital of 200  million yuan,The company is mainly engaged in the research and development,  production, sales, application, and regeneration of activated carbon products.  It can produce 100,000 tons of various high-quality activated carbon annually,  including coal briquette, crushed coal-based activated carbon, bituminous coalbased columnar activated carbon, powdered coal-based activated carbon, etc.  Additionally, the company has a premium carbonization production line with  an annual output of 200,000 tons, an acid and alkali washing production line  with an annual output of 10,000 tons, and a modernized national new materials  research and development center jointly built with the China Coal Research  Institute. This will play a huge role in improving the quality of activated carbon,  leading to the upgrading and replacement of activated carbon, providing strong  support for the sustainable development of activated carbon in China. It is  currently the largest single-capacity activated carbon production base in the  world.

The company has 230 employees, 85% of whom have a college degree  or above, including 23% who are scientific and technical personnel, laying a  solid foundation for all kinds of work. The company's parent company, Datong  Queshan Refined Coal Co., Ltd., currently owns two modern mines with an  annual output of 6.1 million tons and a modern coal washing plant with an  annual output of 3 million tons. Jurassic 8th layer and Datong No. 2 weakly  caking coal are rarely seen around the world and they are the only high-quality  coal resource in China. It has the characteristics of low ash, low sulfur, high  strength, and good activity, making it the best raw material for activated carbon  production, ensuring a solid foundation for the quality of company products.The activated carbon produced by the company has a developed pore structure,  large specific surface area, high mechanical strength, and is easy to regenerate.  It is widely used in various fields such as water purification, air purification,  solvent recovery, catalyst carrier, decolorization, gas protection, etc. It is the  most preferred product used for treating drinking water and sewage globally.  There is currently no other substitute in the world.  

As of now, the company owns 2 fully automatic vertical carbonization  furnaces and 2 sets of gas purification systems, 4 world-leading 16-layer  multi-tube activation furnaces, a large-scale medium-speed vertical mill, five  fully automatic large-scale briquetting machines, 6 external heating rotary  carbonization furnaces, a steam turbine generator set, 13 diverse types of  boilers, a large automatic nitrogen generator, a sewage treatment station with a  daily processing capacity of more than 2,000 tons, and 6 sets of high-efficiency  desulfurization and denitrification systems, truly achieving the environmental  protection standards of zero discharge of industrial wastewater and ultra-low  emission of flue gas.
